After a hectic Saturday organising Ground operation teams website structure and build schedule, the team decided to hit the town and re-hydrate.
In true Ocean Valour style, the team went big and laid down some of the most epic dance moves known to man. Finally, in the early hours of Sunday morning, Tom and Sam dragged themselves away from Plymouths finest disco’s and hit the sack in preparation for their first ocean row starting in only a few hours time.
Turning up to Lyme Regis, the boys met with the soon to depart Pacific team, Jack Carter, Nick Kempster, Chris Blacketer and Mark Gleeson, as part of the Noman Campaign (http://nomancampaign.org) kindly let the Ocean Valour boys take their boat, Isobel, for a test row.
Tom and Sam, accompanied by Justin Adkin of SeaSabre ltd rowed the boat out of the harbour and unleashed some truly awesome, unrivalled and unmatched power! Sam, having never sat in a rowing boat before displayed epic natural co-ordination and feel for the boat, enabling the team to work in-sync without difficulty.
The boys finally brought Isobel back in one piece to the Noman team, and set about shifting a colossal hangover.
