An update from NYC.
As I write this I’m sat in a banging joint having just smashed eggs benedict and a sweet latte. This is meal number 2 of 6, and I’m loving it. Although I miss my girlfriend like crazy!!
If you want to get fat, come to New York. I have a rule that whenever I pass a hot dog stand I have to eat one. This plays havoc on your bowels, but brings in results for the fuel stores! Katie Hopkins can step aside on her whole get fat and lose weight results. This is taking it to the next level! Having put on 5 Kg’s in the last week alone, I now stand at a toppling weight of 85kgs’s, and expect to lose 15 – 20kg’s of this during the trip.
I’ve been extremely lucky in meeting the nicest family known to man and dog who have put me up (and put up with me!), fed me and poured me incredible Martini’s. Rob and Griff Fairbairn are legends, and I can’t thank them enough for making my time here so easy. Even if Rob and Griff force me to get up at 0545 to go running, and be subdued to a spinning class that had me drown in my own sweat!
Lawrence has settled into the pace of things unnaturally well and is making me really fight to keep up with the string of questions and requests to get stuff done. What a legend the man is, and I cannot wait to take on this challenge with him. It’s like a top gear challenge on steroids!
With regards to the boat, she’s still in customs and has just been selected to be searched. I’m assured by our team that this is nothing to worry about, but I do have visions of her looking like this when there done:
I’m still training every day and loving life at 212 Crossfit in Tribeca, where the lads and girls there put me to shame in fitness levels! Although I’m still waiting to race them on the ergo and burpee chinup off.
Los Pommos Hermanos!
