So, a week down the line and we are picking up steam. More and more of you guys have got on board with Team Ocean Valour, donating to both the expedition and the Just Giving page. To everyone who has done-so so far, thank you very much indeed! Also, you are now famous…the Supporters page is now up; just click on the dropdown option under ‘Gallery’.
Now onto a quick bit about training. Team Ocean Valour has picked up a new team-mate! Steve Clarke, a keen rower, rowing coach and personal trainer, will be putting us through our paces over the coming weeks. To that end we need to know where we are physically, so have begun the delightful task of fitness testing! So far so good, Tom and I have tested our Maximum upper body push (bench press) and actually surprised ourselves! Both of us are able to push over 100% of our body weight, which seeing as we have never been the type to focus on the bench press, it surpassed our expectations.
Plenty of rowing, cycling, running; the sunshine and lighter evenings has given us some new energy after a long wet winter. We’re now super pumped for some summer rowing!
Well there we are, a week complete and we’re happy with ourselves.

P.s. Oh I tried to, I really tried! But I have to say it, we’re both too competitive not to. Tom made 80kg, I benched 100kg. 100kg! how on earth did that happen? Stay tuned for the next batch of lift results.
